The City of Bryant’s Zoning Ordinance and Comprehensive Plan were created through citizen participation to shape the way Bryant grows and develops. It is the responsibility of the Planning Division to ensure these documents stay up-to-date with growth, city policy, and state legislation. Staff members work with citizens and developers to assist them with construction activities within the City so that they occur in accordance to the principles and regulations established by these documents and other plans adopted by City Council.
The Planning Division can offer assistance with property subdivision and platting, special use permits, rezoning, and development planning. In addition, information about current city demographics, subdivisions, and commercial development is also available as well as assistance with mapping, zoning, and long-range plans.

In our effort to keep the City’s Comprehensive Plan up to date we have examined the Plan for changes and additions that needed to be made.
The Comprehensive Growth Plan is a document that the City is committed to updating every 3 to 5 years. It sets goals and policies for land use, transportation, community facilities, parks and trails, and other dimensions of the community.
The Planning Commission approved the plan on Monday June 8th 2009 and forwarded the plan and supporting documents to the City Council for review and approval.
